Major Obstacles to Public-Private Partnership (PPP)-Financed Infrastructure Development in China

Public-private partnership (PPP)-led infrastructure development has been crucial in China as it many other countries. However, several obstacles the field tend to challenge its development. Based on survey responses from PPP practitioners and professionals Hong Kong mainland China, this study analyzes ranks key barriers projects. Our findings suggest that both groups classify critical consistently, albeit with some divergences ranking them. Reflecting mainly perspective of professionals, also proposes suggestions for mitigating these obstacles, so could contribute effective formulation successful implementation PPP-led projects well elsewhere.
